Question side spats/mud flaps need help

i have cracked my rear side spat on my 02 boxster. i have been told that a side spat from a 01 911 willfit anyone know if this is a universal part. the part ref do not match up but i am pretty sure they are the same . Any ideas?

Looks like this one is pictured on a 911. I replaced mine a while back. They do get damaged pretty easily.

they are very similar BUT the ones from the 996 WILL NOT fit 986s. IIRC, 3 out of the 4 holes line up, but the crucial one (furthest in) does not as the piece from the 996s is about 2 inches longer. Remember, the rear wheels on 996s are wider than those on 986. Unfortunately, I know this first hand b/c when I replaced mine Suncoast originally sent me the ones for a 996. Needless to say, that project got tabled for a week or two until the correct ones were shipped.

Yea, I trashed one too.

Let me know if you find a good source.
Don't you need to take them off if you add aftermarket side skirts?

Yhanks for the info guys. Yes i do believe if you add side skirts you remove the side spats. So far the best brice is about £35 GB if anyone knows of cheap parts in uk i would like to know
