In the bowels of a deep recession like the one we're in, heavy discounts off wholesale values are offered to move a car. My newish 07 bimmer was $47k KBB value for a CPO car with 15k miles on it. I drove it off the lot for $39, including taxes, title, and license.

A 2 year old CPO low miles 550i will sell for far closer to the KBB value when the economy turns around.

These are the days when the savers in this work snag unbelievable deals on big ticket items. These are also the days when sellers who have no other choice but to sell take huge losses.

DJ, if there is no urgent financial reason to sell your boxster, keep the car. Spring 2010 is going to be a much better time to sell it and make a lot more from the car.
