Wheel Size on 2003 Boxster S

I currently have 7x17 and 8.5x17 Wheels on my 2003 Boxster, I believe the offsets are 55 on the 7, and 48 on the 8.5"

I want to put on some new wheels, the ones I found are 17x8 and 17x9.5, exactly one inch larger on front and rear, I think the offset on the new ones are 50 on the front and rear, I'm not positive.

Question is will these 1" wider wheels work on my 2003 Boxter S

I have 18x8.5 front 18x10.5 rear on a 2001 Box S so I think you will be just fine

Front will be fine; you may be a little tight on the rear inside, but it will depend on tire brand and width. If so, a small spacer will put you in business. Generally, an offset of 47 is desirable in the rear.

I have 18X10s et47 on the rear of my '02 S ...the only trouble I had was rubbing on the parking brake cable, which needed to be tied back.

Thanks for the input

The latest information I have is as follows THE 8Jx17H2 OFFSET IS 2-3/8” POSITIVE. THE 9-1/2Jx17H2 OFFSET IS 2-1/8” POSITIVE, I have no idea how that translates, except 2-3/8" = 60MM and 2-1.8" = 54MM, One other thing I have 225/40/17 Tires on the front, not the stock 205 width. Any more input would be highly appreciated.
