$39k?? wow. I guess they're hoping they'll get some $$$ back from you when they raise the price of oil changes to $400 and convince you that you should change your oil every 3k miles or 3 months, whichever comes first?
It is most definitely a buyer's market for Porsches and a great time to buy one if you've got the resources.
I haven't been to the dealer to check prices lately. Last time I was there they had a RS60 Spyder for 62k and no mark up. I didn't look at the other Boxsters. But if the prices are that good where you live it's worth a trip to fly there to buy one and ship it back.

At a dealer I shopped in Ohio I noticed that they have a new RS60 Spyder advertised on their werbsite for $58.5 and I would imagine you could negotiate another 3-5K off the sticker price. Things are tough and they are making unprecedented deals.
Yes even at 55k would be a good deal compared to what I'm seeing here. Where in Ohio? My daughter lives in Columbus. She will be driving back to the Bay Area in Late June.
