A plastic water or soda bottle snugs nicely between the passenger seat adjuster handle and the console. One of my first projects was to remove the useless cupholders and rearrange my components and bins.

duh! lesson learned

great ideas guys. i will keep working on that. btw, i found out that if you take your key apart and parts go flying, your chance of starting your car are greatly reduced!!!somehow i made it so the immobilizer or whatever activated. or my key deactivated. anyway no start. got a buddy to drive me home to get the spare. zoom. no prob. what a dummy!

I guess I lucked out because whenever they started with the cupholders I have, they are awesome. And I drink fairly often when I drive (no, not liquor, just water, coke) and it's hard for me to drive holding it. When I drove an automatic I could just put a cup between my legs but there's too much going on with a 5-speed to hold a coke there. My Lexus had awful cup holders. If you turned a corner the whole drink would tip over.
