At the top of the General Discussions view, the one you are posting in, there is a 'Sticky' where people have posted good references for mechanics in their area. Someone even compiled these in to a single document, which is then periodically updated. Check it out. You may have to scroll down a few conversations to find the doc. Not sure if Decatur area is covered, but there are definitely some metro ATL referrals.
