Imagine if the PO really babied it before this? Would be a good core engine to do something with if you could steal it, If you owned a body shop you could make it worthwhile but not for much more than 5 K.

It's not that bad. It looks like there is still one good amber side marker.

At first glance it looks somewhat enticing, but closer examination says stay away. The vandal didn't miss a single panel on the body and those are deep-deep dents. You'll have to replace all the removable panels (doors, fndrs, lids) and shrink fix the qtrs, resulting in an expensive bill to fix the exterior. Then you still need to replace the dash, seats, and top. By the time you get done, you'll have a ton of $$$ in it and it'll still have 100K on the engine. With the purchase price and the repair cost you could buy a much nicer, newer, lower mileage Box.

What a shame that a Boxster can be totaled without even being in a serious accident.

Whatever you do, do NOT show those pictures to your wife or girlfriend. You don't want to give them any ideas!!!

That car is TOTALLY trashed. It would almost be fun to buy it, duct tape the seats so they're usable and just drive the damn thing as-is. But there is no way, no how that thing is anywhere worth the $5,000 it's going for now. Without the damage a Boxster with those miles is worth about $10,000 and there's a lot more than $5,000 worth of damage to that car.

I'd love to buy the car just to drive to work and to show my kids when they're here next summer. I'd tell everyone it's the arctic silver Boxster I already own and come up with some great story as to what happened to it - probably some story about a biker gang and me saving some fair damsel in distress, but the car protecting us from their terrible attack.

note to self - if engine blows - "piss of stranger" who will "vandalize" car and collect insurance money and then buy another boxster..

this would be one way to avoid having to buy a new engine........

I think it screams race car. Fiberglass and a gutted interior.
