Bumper painting question

Has anyone had their front bumper resprayed recently? I was going to have this done soon and was wondering what a good price is.

Also, has anyone ever had a hardtop painted? Ballpark costs on that? Thanks.

A respray at a quality shop will probably run you anywhere from $500-$750

Trigem is spot on with the price, you might save a little if you take it off and bring it to the shop as a single piece. If you do have it sprayed I highly recommend you have whatever shop do a photo colormatch from your paint. The paint on the bumper cover can look different than the metal, best to get as close as you can, good luck.

I had 2 recent quotes for repainting my hardtop, both in the $650 range. One had a charge of .5 hr labor for removing the top I asked about the charge and the guy said, "you can save that charge if you bring the top to the shop and we don't have to remove it" I asked him if he cared what I brought the top to the shop with. He said "no that wouldn't matter", so I told him that was great, I would bring it ON the Boxster Geeeeeeeesh, some people just don't get it, huh?

ps. Hope you don't need a new rubber seal, they are only $642 from the stealership

I just had my top sprayed. It cost me $300, but I took the top apart before bringing it in. I got a quote for $600 and one for $700 before that.
