What comes with a 2008 Boxster
Hi,
I'm looking at a used 2008 Boxster, and I'm wondering what comes with the car:
Owner's Manual
Stereo Manual
Toolkit
2 keys
Anything else?
Regards,
JB

If it came with the wind deflector there should be a storage bag for it. Also, the front tag bracket unless it is installed.

hi jbkauai,
You should actually get 4 keys. 2 that have the remote built in, 1 valet key and 1 plastic key. I am not sure if you purchased it from an original owner. If you are, I would asked them if they have any maintenance records. You should do a car fax, just to ensure there was no accidents on the car. If you can get the window sticker (the sheet on a new car windshield that tells you all the options, MPG, etc.) from the owner, get it.
Check for the wheel lock (in the front trunk).
Good luck.

I only got two keys when I got mine new, an owner's manual, and a license plate bracket or some plastic thing (it's still in the trunk.)

Hmm... not sure about that. I only got two standard keys and the little plastic one. No specialized valet key. If they added that after 2005, well, you guys are lucky!
The manual case should include the stereo manual (nav system if you got it), owner's manual, maintenance manual, warranty manual, etc.
The toolkit should have a full container of fix-a-flat in it along with an air pump, among the other vitals.
I also got a little Porsche Roadside Assistance card with my car, not sure if that's transferrable.

My 2001 came with 4, sometimes the bank keeps the valet key.

No valet key for 2008.
I asked the sales manager about this when I picked-up my RS-60 and valet keys are not included. Would be nice though.

Don't look for a spare tire or jack. These $45 - 60K automobiles don't come with either one. And since you don't have a spare tire, you don't need the handy threaded wheel guide pin that 986s have in their tool kit (because you'll never have to change a tire in Porsche's estimation). Or a dipstick to check the oil.
BTW...
If anyone has an extra guide pin, I'd be delighted to purchase it from you. Wrestling with an 18 or 19 inch wheel is a ******************** w/o the pin.
Good luck with your purchase, jbk.

Don't you think they would tell you that if they had to send one to the bank?
