I know the top cover isn't thick steel. It's damn thin. I put three dents in it cleaning the back window. I didn't even realize it at the time. I'm not willing to try the spoon thing, so I'll have to pay a pro to fix them.

I think the top is aluminum.

Yeah. That's what I assumed by how soft the metal is.
