I SAW A Lamborghini Reventon!!PICS
I saw a Reventon delivered at one of my local exotic car dealers. I took some pics of it as it was being inspected and prepped in the garage then i took some pics of it in the showroom where it replaced a red bugatti Veyron ( sold to a lucky guy).
Its cool looking, kinda looks like it could be a batmobile or be in the next transformers but from a design standpoint its ugly and a bit tacky. but i guess lambo is trying to get back to its radical designs since their murci and gallardo have been relatively conservatively designed. Neverthe less it looked aggressive! there was also a white gallardo LP-560 which was very nice. anyways this car in particular had a burnt out rear tail light, and a few paint and wheel imperfections which i was told but didnt see. since 20 are made (all sold out) the MSRP "is" $1.4mill but this dealer is selling this one for $2.4mill I posted a few pics that i took with my cell phone, I also have a video of it starting and driving around but I will try to post that later some how ( its too big). |
That looks bad a**. It had paint imperfections and a burnt out tail light from the factory? weird...
and what I don't get is if they are all sold how is the dealer selling this one? |
Yea i dont know how they got this one either. maybe they were one of the ones who bought it or got it off someone who pre ordered it.
this dealer has had many exotics like: a couple McClaren F1's, F50's,Enzo's, 3 million dollar classic ferraris, a couple bugatti veyrons, a 30 million dollar mercedes race car from the '30's, Saleen S7, Viper GTR, Rolls Royce Drophead, Spyker C8,F40 ( with 125 original miles!)...all this along with your run off the mill bentley's, Astons, and ferrari 360's and 430's. |
Nice spotting. That's pretty impressive.

That Lambo looks like it came from the same folks that designed the F-117 Nighthawk. You suppose all those angles might just deflect radar when traveling at speed??

I really love the lines of that Lambo ... just something you don't see every day. I tend to like the connection to a "fighter jet". I can see the parallel.
Nice pictures & thanks for sharing! |
These pics came across my desk yesteday, I think I like it, love the interior

That Lambo is awesome ! Great post, SS...

Nick and Kabel...thaks a lot for making me drool all over my keyboard while staring at it and readin the Edmunds review
reading the review is like the first time you ever laid your eyes on porno magazine :D :D :D this is so true.... qoute taken from edmunds: A Day That Dreams Are Made of When we were young and had posters of supercars on our bedroom walls, we nurtured the standard-issue twin dreams of becoming a fighter pilot and of one day driving a Lamborghini. Today we're going to do both. |

Must have the same designers...

unklekracker yea this is at the los gatos silicon valley auto group. if your in the area go check it out
I know of a guy who bought a red McLaren f1 and an enzo from this dealer. The Mclared was previously owned by Mario Andredi and had his signature on the sun visor. price 1.92 million. Enzo was 1.35 million. I guess for people who cant be on the waiting list for these exotics they pay the premium price to get it. This other guy bought a black veyron from here and thought the spoiler was broken and was ********************in to everyone saying that ooh my 1.4mill car is broken, not knowing that the key in the special slot next to the seat brings it down. Money can buy exotics but it cant buy taste. some people who buy these cars buy them for status and for a place in their convo where they can say hey I have a veyron or reventon. they cant drive or appreciate them. for these people manufacturers can bring out ugly poorly designed cars, hype them up and sell them for alot. Porsche is doing this with the panamera. people will buy it regardless of how ugly it looks. |
I might just go there after work but this time I won't bring my check coz' I know it's going to bounce :D
I wonder, how many times do I have to do laundry, cook and clean the toilet in order for my wife to say that "I deserve a car like this" |

"The mag article I read said they did, indeed, take the design team to study a couple of stealth fighters before they put the first line down." Posted by Quickurt. I know what you guys are thinkin', but I swear I hadn't read that article when I made my fighter jet comment. |
nice.
man for that much money, i would want shiny paint to wax  |
Wish this was my garage
Forget the dealership. This picture was taken about a month ago on the street here in Vancouver. Just sick....
SLR+ Reventon + GT Another Shot One More |
the front and back end are awesome......
did you guys see batman? the scene where he wrecks his lambo....at least it was a gray one....a cool color would have made me break down more :D |

I thought it was interesting that Lambo would admit they used another design as influence. Aren't these guys supposed to be making the big bucks for originality? |

dude, i was the only one who yelled "Holy Crap" inside the theater during that scene and i hear some people laughing....oh well, that tells you that I'm the only one in the crowd who likes car that much :D BTW...I saw the movie twice already...it is freaking awesome  |

LOL Same here... |
They should've had this one in the new batman movie instead of a regular lambo. Sorry, but this thing is kinda ugly. 250k should look more beautiful. Some crazy rich idiot will buy it I'm sure.
|
ADAM try 2.4 million not 250K. but you are right its not that pretty. I'd rather just get a murci LP640 and with the rest of my money also get the Murci LP 640 roadster ( now I have to hot lambos) then with the rest of my money get the new SL 65 Black series and hey I would still have alot of money left, so I would get a CGT and call it a day. then I will go drive home fast and watch top gun and pretend I had a reventon.
|
2.4mill? Umm why are they asking that for the buttmobile? :barf:

shoooot, any man I would ever marry would deserve a car like that, as long as he'd let me drive it. So there are 20 out there, right? That means if all 20 are sold to dudes, I have 20 chances to marry someone with one. |

Nice but I still think the Countach is the ultimate. I will one day own one. And I will also have a script for some zanex so I don't freak out about the dust getting in it. :)

I used to love the countach when I was young but after seeing it in person and carefully abserving it and being a passenger I was dissapointed. First of all just like the Reventon its really tacky in design. second, it feels wierd, material quality is horrible, the gas filler is inside the side vent which means you will scratch the paint filling your car ( many people spray paint it for maintenance). The shifting is horrible, and I have watched it being serviced and its b*tch. The Ultimate Lambo that stands out of all the classics is the Diablo GT 6.0 The Muira was clean too Yet a white Countach looks nice in the posters. |
I sat in a Countach when I was a teenager and I remember thinking I'd probably have a hard time driving it. It just didn't seem like a car that would be easy to drive for a 5'0" tall female.

Sit on your purse. :)

I have been told by several people that the Countach sucks after the novelty wears off. However, that being said I too will own one some day. The imagine from Cannonball Run was burned into my brain as a child.

That was fun to see after a ton of years. Thanks for posting it. |
That clip brings back so many memories. I would have been about 10 when it came out so I probably first saw it when I was 12-13. The Countach was like something from outerspace but I knew I wanted one.
Here is the Lambo scene from the second one: http://youtube.com/watch?v=6MtBb2Nt3bM Quote:

The Ultimate Lambo that stands out of all the classics is the Diablo GT 6.0 QUOTE] Lambo used to have their main headquarters and warehouse here in Jacksonville. I knew the guy who did their paint repair work and because of my expertise with space frame construction, I was hired for a job that never took place..........it seems their demo Diablo was never wrecked by not being run off the road by a redneck in a pickup...... So, after not taking 6 weeks to get the metric size square tubing and not having to actually fabricate a short piece of 10mm x 30mm rectangular tubing, we had the front of the cat not straightened out or tacked back together. Next, I was not screamed at because my welds did not look like the original welds. If I remember, my comment was that I could not weld that poorly! The space frame on the car had obviously been built by the lowest bidder. It was junk. All of the auxilliary stuff was cheap crap (Fiat parts), the aluminum replacement body panels came from the factory with cracks in them, etc., etc., etc. I was thoroughly disappointed by the quality of all the stuff at their shop, especially the mega-buck all wheel drive SUV that cost around 500k, and this was about '94. To add insult to injury, they fought tooth and nail over my charges, never fully paid the bill and refused the test drive that was part of our original deal. :troll: |

Another car I was very disappointed in was the Ferrari Testarossa, if you ever get to see one on the lift, check out that craftsmanship. The italians are not welders. Those vents on the side have a bolt with a 10mm head right under each one, holding it on. It seems that was kind of an afterthought they just threw on. Although at that same dealership I got to sit in and ride passenger in my favorite car of all time the Ferrari F40. Beautiful car in every way, shape, and form. |

A local shop does mainly Alfas. He and I have been FF competitors and good friends for about 25 years now. His father in law was a major lawyer in the area and collected Ferraris for quite a few years. They are funny. Tom has had most, if not all, of them at his shop for one thing or another over the years and some are absolute works of art and perfection, while others seem to be just thrown together. The fit, finish and general quality also seems to have little to do with their current value. My best desription is some models seemed to be thought out as primarily race cars and fitted out to make a buck selling them for the street, while others were to be first class road cars from initial concept. |
