Aww, thats cute! (at work).
Ill try that pillow trick of yours. It may work, but Sammy likes to do things her own way and doesn't take kindly to people forcing her to sit a certain way. We'll see...
p.s. why so serious?

If by "serious" you're referring to the last Jake pic (Batdawg), he's only being serious in a simple-minded way. He's big-time into lights, reflections, moving shadows, etc. He'll chase the beam of a flashlight or laser pointer more or less non-stop (til your arm gets tired). He runs across the lawn chasing the shadows of flying birds, barking like a crazy dog.
In keeping with this silliness, he's noted that shiny things sometimes create reflections that are fun to chase. I think in the Batdawg pic the camera, being metallic and, therefore, at least potentially reflective, got his undivided attention. THAT'S why he seems so focused. My technician at work has a cell phone which reflects sunlight nicely. Anytime she pulls it out, he follows her around waiting for some action.
He's kind of a funny dog.

I haven't had Bear in the Boxster, but when he rides in the IS, he gets to stay in a $20 nylon kennel from Target. He loves it, plus it keeps him (and his hair) contained.
You might be able to fit that in the front seat of a Boxster... keeps the dog low and if you were to get in a wreck, more safe than just laying on the seat (the kennel has seatbelt loops).

That sounds like a really good idea! but unfortunately after looking at the dimensions of the kennel I don't think Sammy will fit in it...
