Boxster + Dog
I am fortunate to have a beautiful dog as well as a Box. It was quite nice here a couple of days ago (low 80s) and I decided to take my aging dog on a walk near the water (shes shaggy and getting old, so I thought the cooler the better). I figured I would take the box and drop the top so I can get some enjoyment out of the ride as well.
My dog being quiet large (pics below), wasn't too comfortable in the passenger seat. Does anyone else take their dogs out in their boxes? If so, any tips on how to set up the passenger seat so my dog can lie down while I'm driving and so that I can see the side mirror?
Or if you just want to post pics of your animals thats cool too! I love showing pics of my dog.

Your dog is really pretty. What breed is she? Sorry I don't have any advice about how she can fit better in the seat. Here are some pics of my dog, and as you can see, she is pretty small.

My golden retriever's been in my boxster three times in the four years I've owned the car.
Every single time, she's scratched the crap out of one or more items. The seat, the door sill plate, the center console, etc.
She goes absolutely everywhere with my wife and I (stores, work, friend's homes, etc.) but only in the Lexus' back seat... not the boxster.
I will say though that when she's sitting up in the seat with the top down and rests her head on the window sill (a trait all Goldens posses), everyone driving by can't take their eyes off her
If I had a smaller dog like Lovebunny, I'd probably take it in the car more often.
Securing a large dog in a car can be done and they make harnesses for your seat to protect the dog and keep it from jumping out:

Unfortunately my dog is probably too stuborn to like being tethered to the seat. If I could get her to put her head out the window I bet she would be a lot more comfortable (she had her face planted against the windshield last time). Btw all your dogs look great, I been thinking that when the time comes I may want to get a labradoodle or a goldendoodle. Have a combo of the big dog/little dog thing thats cute as hell.
Oh, my dog is a Bouvier (des flandres). shes a belgian sheep dog

My dog went away after 15 years.
But I do have this girl. She sleeps on top of it every night to make sure the top is covered with hair and there are little footprints all over the car.
And her brother:

my pooch is always sad b/c I never take her for rides in
her [almost] namesake.....
actually, she loves to go for rides in a car but only if she can face backwards
i.e. the "tailgunner" position in my SUV (go figure )
Otherwise, it gets ugly........
(don't ask me how I know )

Actually, "Marley" after Bob Marley
Grogan's book came out in 2005. My Marley was born in 2000.
Great book, though ( and yes, I cried at the end )
Can't wait for the movie ( with Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston ) due this Christmas !

I'm loving looking at everyone's dogs, and even though I'm not a "cat person," cartagena, your cats are adorable. There is a kitty in my neighborhood that I always see sleeping on the top of a conertible BMW around the corner. It must be a comfy place for cats.
Even though I have a cute little portable dog, I don't ride with her much. She does pretty good in the car, but I worry about getting in a wreck with her even with her harness on.
I've taken my brother's dog Zoe with me a few times, and one time I was going over some high speed bumps entering a parking lot with her. It's about three bumps and I have to sort of rev up my engine to get over them and sometimes the car rocks back and forth a bit in the process. She was standing on the seat leaning forward and every time the car would rock she'd rock back and forth with it. It's hard to describe, but she was so cute bouncing back and forth. Here are some pictures of her.
