My car tried to strand me. Key wouldn't turn!

I've only had the '02 Box for about a month now. Haven't even ran the first tank of gas through it. I stopped at Walmart yesterday to pick up some Mobil One for a first oil change. When I came out, the ignition wouldn't turn. Top was down, sitting in the blazing sun, and I couldn't do anything! I went back in Walmart to get some Lock-eze. No luck with finding that, so I got a can of Liquid Wrench (I was getting desperate!) After praying the ignition lock cylinder and playing with it for a long time, it finally let go. Looks like a pin was gummed up and not dropping back down when I turned it off. I was able to duplicate the problem a few times at home, then it freed itself and seemed much more positive.

Anyway, should I replace the cylinder? Or are the odds in my favor that the problem won't come back for a long time?
