It’s like Christmas without the wrapping paper.

my replacement engine finally arrived (after an IMS failure and a looooooong hassle with my extended warranty)

New engine
New throttle body
New primary cats
New headers
New O2 sensors (4 x)
New alternator
New water pump
New oil pump
New engine mounts

New smile on my face

Damn thats such a master peice!

I'd ask them to place the old engine back in that crate and you take to a DIy carwash and use the high pressure degreaser setting to clean that sucker off and make it a conversation peice!

Good idea but won't work.
You need to return the old (identical - so no 3.6L conversion here) engine to avoid a $3k core charge

No,

they FINALLY (after like 6+ weeks) approved the repair and eventually even sent the check for the engine and the repair (after another week of waiting). I'll post a complete summary when I have my car back (don't want to jinx it)
