Rubber "crud"

I keep my car detailed fairly well. I'm anal about it, but not totally out of my mind like some I've seen around here................. I don't use a seven step wax process!!
In any case, my 06 has this kind of cruddy, almost crusty residue on the rubber (synthetic, methinks) where the doors seal to the A pillar.
I never remember it when I'm at the dealer, so, does anyone here know the best product to clean and protect that particular detail?

While I haven't hit 7 steps... yet I do like the Meguiars NXT product for all my rubber/ plastic bits.

Do you mean the standard NXT detailing spray, or another NXT product?

This weekend I am going to be using a clay bar, some color x, then some NXT 2.0. Reading about all this I stumbles upon some great articles regarding cleaning the rubber seals.

Here are the links:

Right or wrong I used Vinyl-X or the Armor All interior vinyl/plastic protecting stuff on my rubber seals too. They seem to have held up fine to this treatment.

I use the Griots interior cleaner and the vinyl and rubber dressing for the seals on my car, and they look great, even at 8 years old/105K miles.

Thanks Rick3000.
I went with the 303 Aerospace protectant and was able to get an 8 oz. bottle to try, from Campmor products. I guess it's used on camping equipment as well.

6.99 for 8 oz bottle
