Here's a 993 owner who put the concealed display in his tach. Nice.

I've often wondered if I could tear mine apart and mount the front sensor on the front bumper, rear sensor on my rear license plate, and the guts in the rear trunk or something.

Problem with this is that the beauty of the V1 is that it can be sent back for upgrades for a reasonable price and one could no longer do this if it was torn apart.

I originally had the worthless cd organizer in the dash. I bought one of those pockets to replace it and have mounted the conceal display in that with some foam to center it and a piece of aluminum painted black over the front of it with a cutout for the conceal display. It damn near looks factory.

I did some research on this and it looks like besides the problem you mentioned, the receivers for the front and rear detectors are one unit. It's not possible to mount them separately.

Anybody mount one to a Brey Krausse Rollbar Extension (with the remote display)? That would be up high and invisible from the rear as it would be hidden by the fabric of the top. I think you'd lose laser detection though.

Seems to me that the best place to mount the remote display would be in the ashtray. That way it would be super easy to hide it.
