Question Is this an OEM sports exhaust?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OEM-PORSCHE-BOXSTER-S-986-SPORT-MUFFLER-EXHAUST_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33630QQihZ015QQ itemZ250253976854QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

I have a 2000 Boxster S and would like to buy a Porsche Sports exhaust but this looks like the exact same exhaust that is on my car...

thanks!

That is not a Porsche Sports Exhaust. That is a standard issue Boxster S exhaust.

Aside from a dealer where the heck can I buy a Porsche Sports Exhaust?

I want one badly, I love the burbling sound it makes at idle!

I would take your stock muffler and have it modded "Pedro" style. For around $150, you can have the same sound as the PSE, if not better. I have mine with cat bypass pipes and the sound is awesome.

How do you mod it ''Pedro'' style? What does that mean?

Do I lose catalytic converters? I don't want to void my warranty.

Please tell me how to have the same sound as PSE for 150$!

thanks!

Yeah, I saw that same auction earlier this week. It is worded a little deceptively. That's a stock OEM Boxster S exhaust. I guess if you wanted to put it on a 2.5L or 2.7L you could consider it a "sport" exhaust. Do a search on here for "Pedro Sport Exhaust" and you should be able to find lots of info. There are several posts regarding this mod even the last couple of days.

Dansk makes a SS (pressed) sport for your car with tip choices, I like the sound a lot.

I went with the Fabspeed but it's not as high-pitched as I would like.

The seller told me with a little time the sound will get better-louder; how so?
