Is the member with the "SCHNELL" plate still here? I always liked that one.

I thought about vanity plates for a while after I got my Boxster, but then I decided that it might be better to remain relatively annonymous in a car like that. It's more difficult for someone to positively identify your random plate to an officer if they'd like to report you for say, passing them at 100mph on a two-lane highway. God forbid. I'm just sayin'. For example.

I was going to put ILIKBOX on the wife's Box but for some reason she wouldn't go for it.
Personally I liked it, I thought it worked well no matter which one if us was driving
She wants BOXSTAR or ESCARGO

I don't understand the correlation of ESCARGO, except for snail tracks?
Have her think about FUNNSUN.

I just found another classic. The guys had a problem with the plates "GETN SUM" and in his response letter he points out the the other guys name is Dickinson and suggests he change his name since some people might think it means something else. ie. Dick-in-son.
Here is the letter: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/flatags11.html

Yup, that's me!
However, Texas only allows six letters so right now I'm "SCHNLL"
Fortunately, we're going to seven digits/letters in January and it will be upgraded to be fully spelled SCHNELL
I can't wait.

That is sweet, I remembered you had to shorten it so good for you. That will always be my favorite. The Box is my first vehicle without vanity plates, mostly because I couldn't think of one, but I didn't want to copy someone elses.... still debating though.

Wow....I never saw that one before. If I was the owner I would go find the guy and give him a legitimate reason to have a complaint against me. I bet though there is more to this. Maybe he knows the plate owner and just does not like him.
