I have let my former GF drive it a few times... mostly my mom loves to drive it in the winter time when she is down...

so now I let her have it in the winter,(so they have two cars when they are down), and I take it back all summer...

other than that, nobody else has driven the boxster...

I read alot of posts on this forum by city dwellers. It's just me but I dont think I'd own a boxster if I lived and worked in the big city. Too expensive to park, increased chance of accidents, uninteresting driving, etc. You get the point. As far as driving my car, my brother is the only family member I would trust to drive it. As he lives a couple hours away he hasnt had the chance yet. But I said he could drive it on his next visit and this was his reaction

I don't live in a "big" city like New York or downtown Philadelphia, etc. But I still live in the city and drive downtown often and spend a lot of time in boring stop-and-go traffic. Not always the most exciting driving but I don't plan on ever moving.

Why wouldn't' u own a boxster if you lived in the city...i live downtown Chicago, right off Michigan ave and yes the parking is crazy expensive but you still have to have a car to get around (unless you wanna take public trans all the time) which sux in my option because it limits you to where you can go and is disgusting, slow and getting expensive lol... besides I work in the suburbs and I dont know that i can imagine my life without a car, but at the same time I cant imagine my life not living in a lively city (i will never live in the country, everrr- I'd go completely crazy lol)... I go crazy when i visit my parents who live in a suburb about 30-40 mins away from downtown haha let alone anything farther out... Besides a person who loves cars will own them no matter where they live, you can drive 20 mins outside of the city and have nice roads to drive on...I love cars and have two even though i pay as much for garage for the both of them as i do for my the mortgage for my condo haha

as far driving the car, I let anyone drive it...i mean not some kid off the street but if they know how to drive stick and I know them enough I'll let them drive it...its just a car...and it should be experienced...I even taught my sister to drive stick in the box and im probably gonna teach a friend of mine to drive stick this summer...some people are extremely anal about other people even touching their cars let alone driving them but thats just not me...
