Rattling - Boxster

hi everyone,

I have recently purchased a '04 Boxster, but when im driving it, although the engine sounds awesome, there is rattling noise coming from behind the drivers side seat . . im fairly new to the car so wanted some advise as to what it could be??

Any advise would be much appreciated

Thanks
Chris

100% Heat Shields! They are all around and have plenty of screws to tighten.

Just did mine yesterday and now it sounds amazing (could be due to my new exhaust as well)

super easy.. tighten all the screws underneath your rear trunk. Silver colored pieces with tiny screws in them. But there are a few above the muffler as well. I did them all while my muffler was off the car

Could be a couple fo things. As mentioned above, heat shield. 2 more are convertible top adj cable or door latch. Take a look at this thread.......

2 Other sources for rattles/ticking noise over shoulder
