When putting more mass outside rather than inside, it takes more time to slow it down and also to speed it up. i.e. More metal rather than rubber with 19 rather than 18s.

It's similar to an figure skater, you see how they pull their arms inwards when doing a spin? It makes them go faster.

Also keep in mind, in reality, Rims should only be enough to accommodate the brakes. Enough to cool it down. If don't care about performance, and looks, get bigger rims. If performance is critical, then smaller size.

The right look

I have 18 x 10 with 285 Perelli's on the back of mine and they fit perfectly just on the edge of the grear guard. My car had standar suspension & I have no issues with rubbing.

When I got the car it had 16"'s on it and I could definately tell the difference in reduced acceleration when I put on the 18"s. But it looks a hell of a lot better so I suppose it's a trade off. 285's look great from the back, gives the car that fat bum look.

What is the brand of your wheels and where did you buy them They look great.
