Boxster front bumper?

I have just bought a boxster its a 1999, the front bumper has a bit of damage so i want to change it. im just wondering what bumper will fit can i put a facelifted bumper on it? i dont understand the 996 986 thing can some one help me on that cheers!

As long as you get a bumper with the same headlight configuration, you can swap a 986 (base Boxster) for a 996 (carrera 2) or 986s bumper. The mounting points are all the same. If you go aftermarket, just make sure it is says for 986 or 996 with older headlights.

There is a large variety of bumpers available for our cars, take your time and look at pictures until your eyes cross.

I took a few months to decide on my bumper and have not regretted it since.

I did the exact same and found a c4 bumper to fit mine which in my opinion is the absolute best looking replacement. I also like the boxster s bumper, but they look pretty much the same and its more about how much u get lucky enough to grab one for.
