Traitor!!

Sorry to trade, but I bit the bullet and bought a 996. My new little baby girl is 2 weeks old and I have not driven the boxster since she was born. I have since had a troublesome compulsive feeling that she and I will be sneaking out for ice cream, and we can't even take the fun car.

I bought the 911 for it's back seat. Maybe that was just my excuse..

I will be flying down to Miami within the week or two to check it out/pick it up and drive home to Louisiana.

And for those who are interested...

Gemballa wing,
Aero kit,
Asanti wheels (too flashy for me),
pirreli tires,
Painted calipers,
custom mats,
aluminum pedals,
aluminum sills,
interior aluminum trim,
aluminum gauges,
tv/dvd in the middle dash,
5% tint,
headers, exhaust, intake, programing chip,
short throw,
lowering springs,
37k miles.

I will post some pics when I get it home.

Unfortunetly, the owner couldn't tell me anything about the body parts/exhaust/springs vs. coilovers/stereo wiring/shift kit/ect. He bought the car from the service manager of the largest porsche dealership in the world... Champion in Miami.

The current owner did no mods to it, and bought it becase it looked "neat." He put 8k miles on it in 4 years.

Beautiful car Max. That was my plan to sell the Boxster for a 996 and the child is the perfect excuse. Glad to see you pulled it off. Be sure to post back what it is like driving it. The mods should make it a pretty formidable ride. Good luck.

Wow - sweet ride. I keep telling my wife that we need to do the same thing, but I don't think it is going to happen at my house any time too soon.

Congrats on the new car - sneaking out for ice cream with your little-one is one of the best pleasures in life - can only be made better by doing so in a Porsche!

Hey Rick V,

Are you not a 911 guy also? I would love to see pics of your 911s.

Maxferrin,

BTW, nice ride. Let us know what it's like to drive in your 911 compared to your boxster.

Rick V,

Nice!!! Quite a P-car collection you have there. Thanks for the photos. I espcially like Lanna. It has to be nice listening to her when you are taking her on the back roads. I can only imagine.

When is spring coming already??????

I could be wrong because I only have the one photo to go off of, but he said the car had the aero kit. On the 996 I believe the aero kit had the MK1 GT3 front bumper, at least that's what Loren from Renntech's 996 aero kit front bumper is. This bumper looks exactly like that, except for the big lip at the bottom. I'm pretty sure this is one of those fiberglass add-on lips that you can get on eBay. You can kind of see the seam between the lip and the bumper, it doesn't look like all one piece. So I'm guessing it's an MK1 GT3 bumper with aftermarket lip.

Kirk, I think you are right. I think the lip is bolted on.

I think you need one of these

When I start having kids and have to offload my box, I WILL have a 911 with one of these in the back seat. haha
