Kevin, grab your new Boxster porn pictorial (Bentley manual) and grab your car keys and wallet.

Drive to your local print shop or Kinko's and hand them the book.

In less than five minutes, they can cut the spine off that rascal and 3 hole drill it for you and probably sell you a 3 inch binder on the spot for it.

Slip the front and back covers in the binder before you drill it, and boom, you've got what you wanted for five bucks in charges (if that).

I do this with a LOT of books I use repeatedly. For research and training manuals I use repeatedly (not instruction manuals) I take them to Kinko's and have them cut off the binding and put a plastic coil on the book. Pages don't rip easily and I can lay it flat or flip the front around the back for a smaller desk footprint.
