Just trying to see who the active Dallas forum members are... would love to work on some group boxster photos now that weather should be getting better soon...

sweet... i haven't seen an OR one around yet... i make it out to addison quite a bit (zen, blackfinn, sherlocks)..

there's a GREAT meet twice a week.. IMO the better one is on sunday afternoons... we can all meet up and cruise out sometime and represent for the boxsters!

Good to see some new names. There are several active members in the Dallas area and Jeph tried to arrange a meet in Uptown last month. Unfortunately it wasn't a good weekend for most so we called it off. Hope to see everyone there whenever we reschedule.

Nice shots. Beltline bars in Addison is the place to be, was just at Duke's last night. Here is one of my car by my office building at the corner of Preston/Frankford.

hmmm i bet you work next door to me... i've been seeing a black 05+ boxster in the parking lot (usually not directly next to any other car) and if i'm not mistaken, sometimes that blue vette in your garage?

Since everyone else is bragging about Las Colinas, let me just contribute that I drive
THROUGH there every day (though rarely in Foxy Boxy).

haha i just bought mine about 3 weeks ago... i've always been VERY involved in the local car scene in whatever make/model groups i can find... previously local bmw group (still hang w/ some great friends from there regularly)... before that the LS1 groups... i post a LOT on various forums, etc... and what better thing to do than to hang out, talk about our cars, mods, and go have grub or drinks as a group :) especially with the great weather!

i've also done professional car detailing for awhile so getting to touch the sexy curves of any nice car keeps me involved more too hehehe... that and i enjoy finding new places to take pics and improve my photography skills (i keep trying to get the lady to let me get a DSLR)

What a turn out, in just a few hours! I guess if we are not crusing or hanging out, we are reading the forums.

Same here, S54 are nice but they are way over price. I am looking for a weekend car and the Boxster is it, just need to find one that's right for me....

Lived in Irving when I first moved here from New Orleans/Baton Rouge. Then moved to East Dallas and now reside in Addison. You can't miss my Boxster. Although I need to take some new pictures soon because I now have the 997, GT-3 front end. Looks bad ass! I'm just waiting for new clear side markers before I take pictures. The stock 986 ones do not fit the new bumper. :cheers:

How do you sleep at night?!? You've had your new bumper on and haven't shown us? C'mon now! Let's see it, PRONTO!

I work in the Irving/Las Colinas area as well, I drive a Black 2000 S model....but its been getting beat up in the traffic so I have been taking the truck to work.

I see a Red S model across the way but dont know who it is.

Are people going to the filling station?

I'm 26 miles south of Dallas in Waxahachie. I have a 01 base in Seal Grey but I recently had a 3.2 engine transplant. Will be hosting a Boxster meet and greet this summer sometime at our historic courthouse here in Ellis County. Great food, great roads, and great cars.

i have a set of OEM porsche clear sidemarkers for that black beauty of yours.. would look great with those clear headlights... will make you a deal on em :)

Who all is going to the Filling Station?
Sounds like the majority of us are near the Los Colinas or Addison areas, and for those going, should we plan on meeting up some where and going in a group?

for previous meets, i've met up with people in the Sams parking lot at 635/macarthur... if everyone else is down for that.... say meet up there at 1:30pm and we'll leave and that way we'll get decent spots? :)

I have another event on Sunday but might be able to come for a bit. Need to check the schedule. Put me down as tentative.

Around here it's an Amberdectomy :) Did mine a while back and it was not terribly difficult but still there's a brief moment of "what the heck and I doing to a perfectly good set of lights!"

yeah i'm looking for a pair of front clears too... i've got an extra new genuine porsche clear sidemarkers if someone wants to buy them :)

i'm waiting ot buy the tails until i have the fronts

Amberdectomy, has a very nice ring to it. It sure does look good when it's done. Makes you forget all about the other ones.

I have to thank porsche986spyder, they are his old wheels!

I live just around the corner from The Filling Station. I saw the meet last Sunday (just drove by), but I'll stop in this time. Im still in my RSX, but shopping for an 01-04 Boxster S. Co-drove a friend's 06 Cayman S all last season w/ Maverick region PCA autox & time trials, so I'm kinda spoiled!

I can't wait to see his ride. I dont think the pics do it justice.

anyone still in? will be at the sams parking lot at macarthur & 635 at 1:30pm on sunday.... will leave around 1:40ish at the lastest to make sure we get good spots :)

I live in Dallas, real close to the filling station. My wife and I are currently in the process of looking for a Boxster. I think this would be a good time to meet with the local guys. I hope to see you there.

It will be good to meet all you new folk/recent posters.

I'm going to attempt to make it at Wal Mart, but just in case I can't, where is the Filling Station?
