Go for it. Some people love AX, others hate it. (Those that hate it tend to be bad at it btw ) For someone new, the first thing I would suggest once you get there is to walk the course. Walk it as many times as it takes to remember where you need to drive. Walking a course at 2-3mph is NOTHING AT ALL like trying to drive it at 45mph. Trying to learn the course AND drive it fast is overwhelming. Take your time. Walk the course. Have fun. Repeat.
