My $.02, although I absolutely love my 2001 Base model that I've had for about 10 months, I can already tell I am going to be looking for the S model shortly. Don't get me wrong, the '01 has plenty of get-up-and-go, but it's always in the back of my mind that there is a faster one out there for just a few dollars more. I don't know how much HP difference there is between the '03 and '01S off the top of my head, but the S has bigger/better brakes and a few other extras. Just drive both and see which one grabs you the most.
