Not sure what you mean by "good mileage" but I think most would recommend a car that has a fair share of miles and the records to match them up. If you find one that was a daily driver, expect 10-12K miles per year. If you find one that was a "3rd car" expect maybe 3-5K miles per year. 2000 and newer avoid some of the problems of the early cars, but there are no absolutes. Find a nice car, have a PPI performed, and set aside 10-15% of the price for "incidentals". Enjoy the search and take your time. There are literally HUNDREDs of Boxsters on the market at anyone time in the US.
