Similar thing happened to me, but in my case it was the back lighting on all the digital gauges and not the analog. After about a week mine came back on w/o any messing around on my part. I assumed it was a loose connection that was not making a connection.
It's been about 6 months since this happened with no re-occurrence.
I guess I got lucky.
