I'd try a bottle of Techron Fuel System Cleaner. Make sure that you have lots of in-town driving while the stuff is in the tank. This will give the product a chance to dissolve deposits that will combust at next startup.

Thanks guys,

Paul,
I ONLY fill up with BP Ultimate, have never put anything else in. The MAF is only 4 months old (2Kms), can't see it being dirty already, but maybe?

Turbo,
I rang Porsche Melb. they suggested not to put any additive in? I guess that's their way of getting me in and milking me ?

Cheers for the advise

Back again,

Well, after numerous visits/inspections by Porsche Melbourne, they have narrowed it down to possibly the torque converter!

Wondering if this sounds right by you guys?

I'm going on vacation on March 5th (coming to the good 'ol US of A), and Porsche will have the car whilst I'm away (3 weeks). Hopefully they will have it sorted

Hope everything turns out....but, IMHO,...personally, I would NEVER leave my ride in a shop when I can't go visit it....heard way too many stories and know too many people who's rides had the misfortune of being driven and abused...but that's just me.

Good luck with that!

Thanks for the concern/advice dcporsche99,

Fortunately, one of my best friends works for Porsche Centre Melbourne, where it is going (Head Office Porsche in Australia). He will make sure all is OK!

I just hope they actually do find the problem and get it fixed! (Warranty )
