Perfectlap,

Sound advice ! Here's my thinking, in 3 years I will be ready to buy either a brand new Boxster or a used 911, so I figure I might as well throw some money at my 99 since I will have it for another 2 or 3 years.

I bought the Boxster and an engagement ring in 2006 so no fun money left and paid for the Nov 2006 wedding in 2007 so this is the first time in awhile I can do something fun with my bonus.

Basically what I'm looking for is a little more power for daily driving. The cost / benefit of wheels / tires to shave a couple of seconds off of my autocross times just doesn't make a lot of sense to me right now ( though it would be nice to not chew up my soon to be new street tires ).

I think the headers will provide a noticeable improvement, with the exhaust I am looking for better sound and two pipes in the back, the intake also for sound, and the chip for throttle response.

I can't wait to autocross either ! I miss driving my car period ( been over a month now ).

I did start snowboarding this year ( I bought a Burton ) so at least that kind of satisfies my autocross fix

Good point, Boxtaboy ! Thanks ( and I love the look of the super sound tips ).

Hammer, that shift knob is awesome !

Nick

Hey Nick,

Turbowerx dyno was a K & N drop in installed. So I bet you'd only get +1-2hp ontop of the dyno chart they provide.

Since we're on shift knobs....I just installed the silver horseshoe boot on my shift knob for a different look. Like it a lot:

Got it from this place that sells a lot of cool shift knobs. No affiliation, just a satisfied customer.
