Where doing presents tonight as well, because everyone is busy tomorrow. I really like the watch, I almost got one like that but I needed something with a timer for sailing.
I let you know what I got, but I did gift myself a Sears floor jack as an early Christmas present early today, and my late Christmas present will be a hockey to make a jack plate.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

RandallNeighbour 12-24-2007 08:27 PM

I asked the wife for a full set of metric craftsman tools and a nice rolling tool chest in which to keep them, saying that if she sprung for the tools, I could do more work on the cars and save the cost of the tools the first year in labor on repairs alone.

I'm an idiot. Now I MUST work on my cars myself!

On a brighter side, I got a watch winder and a 18 year old bottle of Macallan scotch.

SilentThunder 12-24-2007 10:51 PM

50 inch sanyo plasma and driver side scroth 6 pt harnesses.

Merry Christmas!

rick3000 12-25-2007 08:20 AM

^ I want a Smorsche too!

I got an OBD II reader, shop light, Porsche hat, floor jack, and a Bentley manual along with some other little things non-car things, and some ski stuff. The Bentley Manual is amazing, it's 1000+ pages of knowledge I might actually use someday. I would recommend that those of you who don't have on, get one.

Merry Christmas!

No snow to shovel here in FL :p

Nothing for the boxster under the tree this year. We have spent plenty on our fleet the past few months just to keep them on the road. However, we had a small but bountiful holiday, not a single questionable item was unwrapped today :)

xxxalexxxx 12-25-2007 07:58 PM

the coolest thing i got is a rollex watch from the fiance and an xm radio from my parents for the box...although i also celebrate the xmas on the 7th and even tho we exchange gifts on the 25 maybe i can get a few more cool things on the 7th as well lol

hope everyone had a good holiday :-)

03' 986 style taillights,bumper plugs,$$$$ & a trip to Disneyland

RandallNeighbour 12-26-2007 06:56 AM

Alex, if your watch is spelled with two L's as is in your post, I don't think she gave you a real Rolex :) ...I'm sure that was just a typo.

Your fiance really loves you. Those ain't cheap!

When you get married, she'll be spending your cash on your gifts, so be sure to ask for a new Boxster if you're paying for it anyway

dcporsche99 12-26-2007 08:46 AM

We will need to make that happen someday.

So are you saying you bought someone an iPhone but then received Dolce Gabana colonge? if so, thems the pits.

Frodo 12-27-2007 08:45 AM

Among other things, we got a portable Garmin GPS unit. Haven't tried it in the car yet---just being lazy, loungin' around the house and eating for a few days---but I did take a walk around the neighborhood with it. (I've never used one before...As Bruce Willis was told in the latest Die Hard, I'm sort of an analog guy in a digital world.)

It was super dark, could hardly see my hand in front of my face, let alone the road or surroundings. Like some wide-eyed 7 year old, I was so absorbed by the glowing of the GPS screen in my hand, watchng in fascinatinon as it displayed my progress turn by turn, that several times I lost the middle of the road and found myself stumbling into the drainage ditch along side the street like some drunken fool .

It was kinda funny. I felt like an idiot but was having a great time at it.

Uncle Bob 12-27-2007 11:07 AM

Wife got me a MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC WD73733 73" 16:9 Black DLP Technology 1080p Rear-Projection HDTV

It's delivery date is Jan 4th (thing is quite bulky) and it gets delivered right upstairs to media room.

I'll get it setup, dialed in just in time for '08 auto racing season to start......

Perfectlap 12-27-2007 12:22 PM

lump o cole...again!

a client gave me a gift card to Nordstrom and a bottle of wine. Which I then re-gifted to the latest missus. Is that bad? I met after Thanksgiving but didn't go out with her until after Xmas. I think thats international waters in my book.

Nah, i'd say your in the clear, Did she get you anything? If not, your golden.

KevinH1990 12-27-2007 01:24 PM

My wife and daughter gave me a certificate with instructions to purchase an in-dash gps for the Boxster. (They don't do too well with technical devices, so I will work out the details.)

I'm thinking of picking up a Pioneer Avic D-3 from eBay or an on-line discounter. Fortunately there is plenty of info on this board regarding installation.

tombea 12-27-2007 01:35 PM

Got several gift certificates. Bought myself an LCD for my bonus room and the big item was a PC buffer :-))). Can't wait to use it but I need to have the car washed since I can't do it myself because of the drought.
