I guess I have 2 of Porsche's poor man's Porsche. 02 Boxster S and 88 944 turbo S. I've driven 993's and 996's from my friends. They just did not give me the thrill I wanted. When I drove the 993 it just reminded me so much of my 72 VW bug. The sound, the burnt oil air smell in the cabin which is typical from air cooled heaters. I floored it a few times and it was no match with my turbo S. I've had people tell me to buy a real Porsche which I just ignore. I've had people with 911's that gave me thimbs down when I was next to them in my turbo. I just smoked them when they tried to out pace me and I give them a thumbs down. Boxster's and 944's are hard to beat when it comes to handling and satisfaction.
