When i was in the market for a new car for my wife we test drove all kinds of cars, from BMW to Honda s2000. I have to admit that the Z wasn't bad except that if you and your wife or GF wanted to go to the market you couldn't get any more than would fit on your lap. She ended up getting a Volvo C-70 Rag Top. Real nice car. When I started to look for a replacement for my 64 MGB I went and drove a Boxster. I have had sports cars all my life and I can honestly say that there are few experiences like driving a Boxster through the twisties. The Z may be quicker on the straights but as someone once said, " Lets race without using brakes". For someone who wants to drive around town with the top down and have people look at them , maybe the Z is the right car , but for people who want to drive their car the Boxster is the better choice.
