Love my Boxster again

Just got a new handbrake and shifter knob installed today. Since I've got a 98 2.5 I felt it needed a bit of sprucing up Looks a million dollars now

One my way home it felt like a new car

I'm thinking of putting on clear headlights next. Does anyone know where I might be able to pick a cheap set up from? Porsche wants to charge me $2,500AUD for a set (parts only - hmmm).

The cheapest way to go is Ebay. Since you are not located in the states it might be hard to find a cheap set. Why don't you try the junk yards in Australia? They may have a pair of litronics laying around and want to get rid of it.

Hi STTevo,
Good to see another Aussie contributor on the forum. Can you post a picture of the gearknob and handbrake. I've got a 98 2.5 too, and mine are looking a little tired. I've posted some interior pics in the 'Chip mod - is it worth it' thread.

How much did you spend on them?

cheers

Ok here are some pics. Funny how the black looks blue in these photos. I need to learn how to use my digital camera

They cost me $A1,280 (including install) - I know it was expensive, but it really needed it. My old gear stick knob was badly scratched and the handbrake had chunks out of it :|

handbrake

Hi!!! I´m very interesting to change the Handbrake look of my 98 2.5 Boxster.
Where do you had buy it?
Did you install the handbrake??(its ease?) or the dealer

Thanks in advanced,

Hello sTTevo,

Nice interior but that radio (of which I don't doubt the quality) should be replaced by a Porsche or Becker Navi-unit, this would be the ultimate finish of your car interior.
(Don't feel offended, I just mean it in a constructive way)

Best regards,

Alfred

haha.. thanks Alfred. Yeah I had a Porsche unit in to begin with, but I wanted something to play mp3's. I was hoping the aluminium face on the head unit there would match the shifter and handbrake - then some more bits I replace down the track. It doesn't stand out as bad in real life.

acamachobadajoz, I ordered the parts from my local Porsche dealer, although I've seen them in eBay and other various websites much cheaper
