Boxster S RS Spyder 303Bhp on the way?

I read on the Renntech Forum that a Boxster S RS Spyder 303Bhp is on the way, and details should follow tomorrow (which should be today). Is this a total hoax, as I have not seen anything on this anywhere else?
I also find it a bit hard to believe that Porsche would come up with an RS version only to bump up the horsepower by 8.

sales are still bad for the Boxster so it wouldn't surprise me to see some sort of marketing ploy to package a 'sportier' 987.

But don't sneeze at 308 HP. Even after 1 million cars, That would probably more power than 95% of the cars that Porsche has ever built.

I've been wrong before but it sounds like someone making stuff up to me - a Boxster S RS?!?! What is that? A Boxster RS? Now that could be something. But a "S RS"? What is that (aside from a bit redundant)?

Here's an update just posted on the RennTech site, which of course I can not verify:

"303 bhp confirmed. Car will come in GT silver with Carrera red leather and have 19" wheels (probably Sport Designs). First cars should be out next March. That's all I have at present.

We shall see.

Why not if porsche could knock 150-200kg of the Box and add 8hp more, throw some carbon fibre , Kevlar bucket seats and maybe a 1/2 cage instead of the roll bars, slightly harder suspension, and maybe 50mm wider rear arches, they may have one of the Top 5 best Porsche model (spec only) ever.

$65k.. thats nothing £32.5 lol

try £45,000.00

supose it depends on spec
