Bose & Wind Deflector options?

I am getting ready to order a Boxster S and it seems that most recommend that I get the wind deflector. But I read somewhere that if I get the Bose system it comes with the deflector...something to do with the speaker location and storage box. Anyone familiar with this?

Send a message via Yahoo to Chills
Go onto Porsche's website and build out your car. I'm pretty sure that if you do get the Bose upgrade the wind deflector is added.

Bob Z, the option codes for the 2008 987S Bose system is #680 ($950) and the option code for the Windstop is #551 ($375). These are seperate options.

Mine came as a package, they must've separated them for the 987.

Thanks all! Now I just need to figure out the audio options - it appears that the standard Boxster comes with one type of radio, the Boxter S comes with a slightly upgraded Plus radio, and both can be had with the Bose radio.

Bob Z, the Bose system (option code 680) is the same, just the price is different:

987- $1,665
987S- $950

The Bose is a Surround Sound System with 10 speakers and 325 watt total output. Includes a CD (for 2!) in the glove compartment.
