It's all about finding the right car for an individual's tastes. Finding that right car is possible but sometimes that means paying a little more than it would for another if you weren't as selective. Ex. silver cars are a dime a dozen. However, if you must have white, then there are fewer options and it will require more patience to find that right car.

BTW: ddb, in case I haven't said so lately, I really like the looks of your car.

Thanks for the links guys. I'm shooting for sub 40k mileage,Litronics + heated seats are now a NEED,no longer extra. This white one is looking more and more tempting.

Robert, I forgot to mention one thing I'd noticed with the white car. I'd seen a 99/00 (can't recall what year) boxster with the porsche factory nav, and while most factory navs go for ~$2k, I would have paid to get that one removed. It had no maps, just leds showing what direction to take etc... totally weird, useless and a waste of $. I know that porsche updated their navs at some point, but I don't know exactly when.

So, make sure that either the nav is the newer (useful) one, and if it isn't then don't add that as an option you are paying for.

PS: No offense to anyone that has the older nav in their car - my 01 acura also came with the factory nav, which I use to this day. It is light years ahead of the nav I saw in that 99/00 boxster. Porsche should've done a better job with that option.

That's why it's not a selling point but rather an added bonus. Aren't the software updates available on CD to update it?

Yup, understand the point about it being an added bonus, but just wanted to make sure that you were aware of it. Reg. updated CDs and such, if this is the old nav system, then I think the CDs/software aren't going to be any good, as the display itself is archaic in nature.
