Any idea what it would take to have them installed? Will they connect right to the stock head unit?

Installation is a DIY about 1.5-3 hours depending on your technical abilities. Will connect to either your h/u or amp depending on MY car ('03-04 to amp, '02 prior to h/u unless you have 6x40 amp).

Lot's of info in the archives just search on 'rear speaker install'. IMHO, they are worth the upgrade - especially at the price bmussatti lists. To see how easy of an install, check out these instructions (from an aftermarket supplier of a kit using p-parts except the drivers)

PNP Rear Speaker Kit Install Instructions

The OEM rear speakers were already in my car when I purchased it and they do add a nice depth to the sound quality. Most of the sound still comes from the front even with some rear bias on the fade. I replaced them with the PNP speakers which have a much higher quality sound. This is a great price on these OEM units though. If you look behind the passenger side rollbar near the outer edge there may already be a plug in for the speakers. You will also have to already have the storage compartment. If you do not already have the compartment it could get a little pricey. Bose makes a unit that I wish I had. It fits in like the storage compartment.

Here's another set of instructions:

http://www.pelicanparts.com//techarticles/box_rear_speakers/box_rear_speakers.htm

I've installed two sets of the PNP kit, and the only difficult part is running the speaker wire up to the front of the car.

Give them a call, I ordered a set yesterday $129 Plus about $10 to ship to California. They said they aren't in stock until next week, when they get them they will ship them to me.

Any opinions on them? I'm assuming the installation was pretty easy?
