Maybe if you buy some Michelin Pilot sport 2's you wouldnt be burning rubber all the time. And expensive lesson it would be....
 (Get the PS2's)

How can you answer the question

when there must be 10 characteristics of a tire and you don't tell us which are important to you.
Consumer Reports has a summer Ultra High Performance Tires review this issue (November). All Seasons too.

I am a fairly agressive driver. I also went through trying to pick out my first set of tires. I ended up with Kumho's and have been more than satisfied. 8K on the rears and they are about half way; fronts look almost new and drivability over the P Zero Rosso's , which were on when I got it , was not very different. For me the difference was $540.00 verses $1160.

Your gonna mix and match brands? I only condone that for drifters who only use the rears for a day. But daily driving with an added variable for disaster. Blink randomly spun out with 4 same tires, i dont even wanna think what would have happened if he had mixed and matched.

You never really said what your use were for the tires, nor the amount of tread left....cannot imagine much tread left with your G-Tech 0-60 clutch popping race days......lol.....but if I had my choice (considering all of your pricey toys and apparent excess of disposible income) I wouldn't go cheap. Just get a complete matched set of Pilots or PZeros or even Yoko ADVANs...
All the best...

Don't be cheap. You might not get a 2nd chance. Your parents and other motorist hope you buy good tires.

$680 with the Goodyear cash card offer this month.

Probably the absolute best tire in the rain I have ever had. And equal to anything from Michelin or Bridgestone in the dry and you'll save a couple hundred.

I understand you all want to save $

and that buying tires is tough because there is so little good information out there.
The Sumitomo HTR + tires is mediocre in all 5 wet and dry performance categories but excellent and very good on snow and ice. It wears very quickly. On a 100 point scale, the difference was 22 points.

The Goodyear rates as very good across the board, not as good as the Michelin PS2 in wet and dry braking (very good versus excellent) and worse in rolling resistance (mileage). On a 100 point scale, the difference was 12 points.

Do you have a link for that Consumer Report opinion?
They rated car waxes recently and their results made me leary of how they interpreted the test data.

But it looks like they want you to pay for the full report. The Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 was one of their recommended picks for a summer tire, but it ranked fairly far down the list.

I think the problem with their ratings on waxes is that they value durability and low effort over ultimate shine.

Is there any way you can copy and paste the results into a thread? I am about to buy tires as well and the F1s were on the top of my list.
