Dimished Value
Has anyone here claimed it after their Boxster was in an accident? If so what insurance company are you with? I have AAA and they are saying that I don't have the right coverage, I have full coverage, the max on everything, what else is there to have?

Blinkwatt, I would think if someone other than you was responsible for the damage, then DV would be in-play. But, since this is your accident, they would only be responsible for the repairs.

I just had water get in under my drivers seat and fry out the alarm computer due to a drain pain the dealer claims is a wearble item??? Which baffles me and my insurance covered it even though it could`ve just been worn out, but I have USAA...they are awesome the only kicker is you had to get it when you were active duty in the armed forces

Hey Robert, I noticed the "possibly finished" in your sig - did you mean to say that the car is nearing the completion of its repairs, or that the insurance company is going to total your car?
Also, how is it going with the diminished value claim? I had asked an insurance rep, and she told me that those claims are used (due to state law?) only in Georgia... not sure what was going on there. How are you going about proving the $-loss in the DV claim? I am curious due to personal reasons

Here's some info on D/V. Varies by state if it is your fault according to this guy. I have no idea if this guy is a true expert, but it sounds good.
