Winter rims

I have a 2007 base boxster and I am thinking of getting winter tires for it. I currently have 17" rims with summer tires. I wanted to get rims for winter tires and was looking for the smallest size that will fit this car, as well as fit a Boxster S (as I think I will upgrade eventually) as I don't want to buy new rims (the current car is leased). I won't bore you guys with asking for tire recommendations as there are a ton of threads on that here. Thanks in advance.

Not allowed in NYC. Also, don't particularly want to drive around in chains during cold, non-snowy weeks.

205/55R-17 Conti ContiWinter Contact TS810 (N1)
235/50R-17 Conti ContiWinter Contact TS810 (N1)

The ContiWinters are supposed to be the best snow tire available.
