I think this is least the 3rd or 4th Boxster I have seen on this Forum in your situation, and the roads were usually wet/damp, and the Boxster did not have PSM.

No I don't have PSM. Before this happened I never really thought I needed it.

Oh yeah the roads were way wet,1st heavy rain of the year. The part that really kills me is that I was doing triple digit speeds to get to Redwood City and during the drive my group had to speed a bit to catch up to the rest of the pack.....I lose the car switching freeways in traffic doing at most 40mph. The photo guys for the event were behind me for the drive and they saw everything that happened. They said it looked like it happened out of no where,no reason for it,car just let loose. Guess I got off lucky,could have ended up a lot worse if it happened during any other part of the drive!

Another guy at the meet said his Box started getting a little loose but his PSM kicked in,lucky guy.
