Locked out of Boxster - HELP!!!

I've just got back from a 7 day holiday and cannot get into my 1998 Boxster. The remote light flashes but the car will not open. I tried the other remote but that does the same. When I try the key in the lock it will turn 90 degrees each way but will not unlock the car. The alarm light inside the car is flashing once every second or two. There is no sign of damage.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Might be a car battery that's too dead to operate the locks?

Thanks - but if I manually pull the cable to open the bonnet, will the alarm not go off?! Cheers.

Last year, I was locked out as well. The roadside assist people were able to get in using simple "lock-out" tools. A small nylon wedge was put between the right window and the top. Then a plastic coated bar was inserted to pull the door handle which opened the door. No damage at all.

Best of luck!

Which alarm lights in the car are flashing?

radio LED?

LED on the top of the dash?

Both?

Only the LED on top of the dash by the windscreen is flashing. Cheers.
