De-snorking is essentially removing the intake baffle (think intake muffler). Almost all cars have some type of intake baffle. Removing it will give your car a more Darth Vader sound while accelerating.

I say almost all cars have this as I've heard the '03/'04 cars don't have the snork? Don't know if it's true or not. I haven't even bothered looking on my '04 because I feel there's already enough intake noise (it's right by your head!).

I'd love to hear some of the aftermarket mufflers though. If you decide to get one, try to do a video of before and after. I know it won't be very representative but it's better than nothing.
