Why wouldn't Ferrari take his order?

Well when he was in the market for a Ferrari he was going to order a 360 Spider. He contacted Ferrari and he was told you must own a Ferrari previously before ordering from them. He bought his 355 Spider and has had it for several years. A while back tried to order a 430 Spider and they now tell him you must own TWO previous Ferrari's. So, he said f**k it and ordered from a company that would accept his money.

It's rather amazing to me that a car company that sells at minimum $150K cars can be so picky as to who owns them.

I've heard about Ferrari only selling to buyers with a Ferrari history. I thought this was directed more to F40, F50, Enzo type sales. I guess there's more demand for F430'S than available examples and they can afford to be selective.

He has a great collection and great additions on the way. I'm sure he (and you) will have a great time with them!
