thx guys.
as for the prep. i just sanded them down, but not all the way so its smooth, as i liked the textured look that those pieces have, then washed them, cleaned with rubbing alcohol, then sprayed with t229 metallic silver, about 6 coats or so, then 2-3 light coats of clear coat, then when it was dry i sanded it down a little as well with 2000 grit sandpaper tog et rid of some orange peel, but there was actually none there so its all good.
