leather seat

I have a situation where the electrical system under the seat fried and I can't remove the seat because you have to move the seat to get it out....but it's fried. I called the dealer and he said he would look into removing the leather to get to the motors below as if it could be done while the seat was in the car. I have looked into and I am on the edge of trying it. It does look easy, I just don't know if it can be done while the seat is in the car.

Dj are you referring to the leather sections that run down the middle of the seats? If so that's weird, cause I was just thinking about doing this just before I saw this thread.

I'd love to have a black sections in there along with the main grey seat,it'd look neat.

I have read about removing the leather covers, it doesn't seem that hard to do. But you have to remove th seats from the car.

The black inserts on the grey would look cool, I should have done that with my sheepskin seat covers. Oh, well!
