Just to double check

Boxster S aftermarket exhaust such as the Borla will fit on a 2.7L 01 Boxster?

With a kit

sold by the dealer to adapt the standard S muffler to the base? Around $100. I presume the Borla is made to take the S mountings like the stock.

ok, so you're saying a mounting bracket would have to be fabricated to make an aftermarket S exhaust fit on a 2.7?

I must have misunderstood before, I thought the 3.2 and 2.7 had the same mounting and the 2.5 was different.

I think Borlas website says theie system fits a 3.2L only. However, I don't see why it wouldn't fit a 2.7L.

I know what Borla's site says but, I remember someone saying that the 3.2 and 2.7 have the same exhaust mounting and the 2.5 is a little different.

Maybe I'll just buy the exhaust and see if it fits. I really like the sound and looks of this exhaust over any other one I've seen or heard well....other than Tubi but, I can't spend that kind of money.

The 2.7 and 3.2 mufflers mount the same. The 2.5 is different. Don't know why Borla only mentions the 3.2.

And if anyone has an S muffler that they want to offload for cheap (or free), let me know... That's about the only mod I'm considering on the engine with my 01 Base Boxster.
